ASA is a very strong and versatile material, with great thermal and UV resistance. It is suitable for indoors and outdoors. The ASA contains synthetic rubber with high resistance to wear, which in turn makes it resistant to impacts. In addition, you can smooth the surface of your prints with acetone steam.

About the ASA

Asa can be considered a true successor to ABS. Compared to ABS, it is UV stable, does not shrink as much and produces less fumes. ASA 3D prints are durable, strong and suitable for a wide range of applications. The solidification temperature is also higher compared to PLA and PETG, which gives ASA printed objects excellent temperature resistance. Resists up to 93ºC without deforming. Thanks to these properties, the ASA is ideal for objects that will be exposed to the elements for a long time.

ASA printing requires specific conditions to obtain good results. It is important to run the prints in a well-ventilated room, as the material releases fumes and substances that could pose a potential health risk. It is highly recommended that the printer be inside an enclosure to maintain temperature and avoid drafts.
